Start Date:     March 10, 2025

SIGN Housing Support seeks an independent, energetic, supportive, resourceful and empathetic person to work with and support individuals within Yorkton, seeking housing and resources. The successful individual will collaborate with the Housing Support Program Manager and other community partners, as well as participate in engagement and education throughout the community.

Expectations:

Initiate case management of the referrals received from the Program Manager
Maintain appropriate data collection and reporting tools
Develop and facilitate trainings and workshops for clients and staff
Maintain collaborative relationships
Provide short-term support to the client and landlord relationship, if required
Seek new housing opportunities and resources to assist clients with housing
Assist clients to negotiate leases
Assist clients with identifying and reducing barriers
Share housing information to clients and others in a timely fashion
Be pleasant and effective with a wide range of people of different ages and cultures
Develop a knowledge of community resources, the Saskatchewan Residential Tenancies Act and SK Housing Policy
Have a developed understanding of mental health, addictions, crisis management and counselling

Qualifications and experience:
A Bachelors degree, diploma or certification and training appropriate to the position
Experience working with marginalized populations
Valid drivers license and access to a personal motor vehicle for transportation
A Clean Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check from RCMP
