Reporting to the chief mine geologist, you will be responsible for the management of tasks and duties within the McArthur River geology department. You will work collaboratively within the department and engage site stakeholders on improvement opportunities and initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Provide oversight for diamond drill core logging and sampling, underground development mapping, computerized data management and data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
- Assist with drillhole planning and drafting, downhole deviation surveys and radiometric surveys.
Required:
- Bachelors degree in geology or geological engineering
- Minimum of two years of relevant geological/mine geology experience (core logging, underground geological mapping)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to perform manual labour, including heavy lifting, as required for this position
- Valid class 5 drivers licence
- Safety oriented work attitude
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

- Working knowledge of geological database and mining software: AcQuire, Vulcan and Leapfrog
- Eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
