In this role, you will:
- Provide technical and analytical support, maintenance and quality assurance for the radiation program.
- Support radiation department objectives which include job hazard analyses, sampling, completing incident investigations, managing radiation monitoring data and generating reports.
- Investigate and assess emerging technologies related to measuring and monitoring of radiation and its suitability to the uranium industry.
- Develop innovative tools and solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the current program.
- Engage site stakeholders in developing creative ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) initiatives.
- Collaborate on new technology solutions and act as lead in identifying opportunities for improvement on all technical matters within the department.
Required:
- Bachelors degree in physics, engineering physics or a related science
- Three to five years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
