One Arrow First Nation is looking to fill a six-month term from April to September 2025 as the Human Resource Administrator. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Human Resource Administrator is responsible for carrying out the duties as outlined herein.
-Adhere to the One Arrow First Nation Personnel Policy, Fit for Duty Policy, Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Policy; Maintain strict confidentiality at all times; Provide guidance to Directors to ensure that they are following the OAFN Personnel Policy as well as any relevant labour standards legislation; Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of human resources or personnel departments; Plan human resource requirements in conjunction with other departmental Directors; Coordinate internal and external training and recruitment activities; Develop and implement labour relations policies and procedures and ensure compliance with current relevant legislation; Administer employee development, health and safety programs; Advise and assist other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs; Oversee the classification and rating of occupations; Organize and conduct employee information meetings on employment policy, employee benefits/pension plans and participate actively on various committees; Organize Occupational Health and Safety program and committee; Maintain internal records such as personnel files, staff leave and act as first point of contact for all personnel queries; Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned within the scope of duties.
Qualifications: Relevant post-secondary degree, preferably related to personnel management such as commerce, business administration or industrial relations; Several years experience as a personnel office or human resource specialist are required; Knowledge and understanding of Cree Culture and working experience with First Nation communities is preferred.
