Description

Saskarc is an industry leader in steel design and fabrication for Temporary/Early works and Permanent steel for North American infrastructure projects.

We are currently looking for a versatile and well-rounded Procurement Agent possessing a solid business acumen, strong ability to lead and source the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.

Key responsibilities will include:
The Procurement Agent is responsible for establishing, evaluating, managing and maintaining supplier relationships, purchase of goods and services, logistical coordination of shipments, and inventory control.

The ideal candidate will have:
*Direct working knowledge of operations, supplier management, inventory control, and logistics.
*Comfortable working in ERP systems; excellent with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
*Experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
*Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
*Experience in managing and buying from steel suppliers.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Outstanding organizational skills
*Good financial and business awareness.
*Strong customer service orientation.
*High school diploma or equivalent, with a college or university degree preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
*5+ years work experience in industrial steel markets.
*Proficient in Microsoft programs (specifically excel and word).
