Melfort Group Home requires a casual support worker
to provide in home support for 5 adults with intellectual and
physical disabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care to residents as required. You will also be responsible for housekeeping, social outings, some shopping and recreational activities.
Applicants must be willing to submit to a criminal record check and provide a drivers abstract. Must hold a valid class 5 license.
Applicants must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, have excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, decision making ability and be able to
problem solve quickly and efficiently in a high pressure situation or medical emergency.
If English is a second language, we may require proof that a minimum Level 8 in ESL has been achieved.
Applicants must be able to work a wide variety of shifts; including nights, days, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and call-ins.
Related experience would be considered an asset,
but employer is also willing to train the right individual.
