Position Overview: Are you a skilled autobody technician with a passion for automotive excellence? As an Autobody Technician, you will complete repairs on damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Repairs: Repair damaged vehicles using technical information sheets and follow Advanced Process Solutions (APS) according to repair orders.

Decision Making: Make repair or replace decisions based on safety, costs, and cycle time.

Accessing Vehicle Components: Remove upholstery and trim to access vehicle parts for repairs.

Mechanical Work: Perform structural repairs, airbag replacements, and other mechanical tasks.

Welding and Finishing: Execute various types of sheet metal welding and metal finishing techniques.

Surface Preparation: Use power and hand tools to file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.

Collaboration: Communicate vehicle repair status with the Production Manager and Estimators.

Safety and Organization: Utilize safety equipment, maintain an organized work area, and adhere to hazardous waste disposal regulations.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, and repetitive motions.

Work Environment: Work involves exposure to paint, fumes, dust, chemicals, varying temperatures, and noise.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2-5 years of preferred auto body collision repair experience.

Education: High school diploma or GED required; collision tech graduate preferred.
