The Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Counsellor is responsible for counselling and follow up work with victims and families of victims of domestic/sexual violence. Follow up work will involve provision of information and support to victims of domestic/sexual violence with respect to psychological, medical and legal issues.
The Counsellor is also responsible for promotion, public education and community involvement specifically with regards to interpersonal and sexual violence.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Must have completed post-secondary education in Social Work. Preference will be given to individuals with two or more years of related experience in the human services field.
Direct interpersonal and sexual violence counselling experience and/or crisis intervention counselling would be assets highly considered
A valid Insurable Saskatchewan driver's license is required
A police security check is required
The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission has granted our organization an exemption order for the position of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Worker with the Prince Albert Mobile Crisis Unit to be designated female.
