MGBHLM is seeking an Emergency & Safety Management Coordinator. The Emergency and Safety Management Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring workplace safety and preparedness by developing and implementing emergency plans, coordinating training, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders. This position focuses on maintaining compliance with Saskatchewan safety and occupational health legislation while enhancing emergency response capabilities for the organization and the surrounding communities.
Duties:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for natural disasters (floods, wildfires), building fires, active shooter situations, and other community threats.
Update emergency plans based on evolving risks, regulatory changes, and lessons learned from after-action reports.
Conduct regular assessments to identify gaps in emergency preparedness and recommend program improvements.
Deliver training programs on disaster preparedness, including fire safety, flood response, and active shooter scenarios.
