Description

Who We Are:
We are the only local organization that advances solutions to water quality and water quantity concerns in the Upper Souris Basin. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors that represent area municipalities, first nations and the business community.
The opportunity
We are seeking a visionary manager to maintain our current water management programming and work with the board of directors to seek new lines of business that will enhance the services that USWA provides.
Key Responsibilities
1.    Leadership and Vision
Seek out lines of business that assist the board in fulfilling its mission.
2.    Management of Existing Programs
Utilizing your education and experience you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Upper Souris Watershed Association, meet deliverable of the existing programs and supervise staff in fulfilling their roles.
3.    Financial management
You will lead financial operations and maintain strong financial controls of the corporation. You will seek out funding sources and ensure a good working relationship with the funding partners. In coordination with USWAs financial administrator you will ensure that there are timely and accurate financial reports to the board of directors. You will also be the lead on the financial audits of the corporation.
4.    Member communications and relations.
You will keep members informed on USWAs programming and activities and ensure that USWA is aware of any new and emerging concerns in the communities that we serve.

Due to the size of the area that we cover and the remote nature of this opportunity you will need to have good computer skills and an aptitude for continually learning new skills and technology. Although you will use Technology to minimize travel you will need to be prepared to regularly travel throughout the basin and at times to other destinations within Saskatchewan.
