Description

CSS Pension Plan is one of the largest multi-employer, multi-jurisdictional defined contribution pension plans in Canada. Located in Saskatoon, it provides members with pension, investment, retirement services and supports our co-operative industry by providing defined benefit pension plan investment and administrative services, and pension and retirement income planning services.
You will focus on the senior administration of defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, supporting the full lifecycle of a pension plan member; be technically inclined with the ability to pivot between competing priorities and complex matters. Your strong standards, belief in empowering others, and an understanding of the co-operative system's values will shine through in a team environment guided by our Pillars of Collaboration representing Respect, Commitment and Communications.
You will onboard members into retirement income products and supporting them through their retirement years in understanding their pension income.  You will respond to inquiries and submissions, acting as a liaison between our stakeholders, CSS and the membership, ensuring that our members' needs are met, and their concerns are addressed.
Our MES must possess excellent administration skills, with knowledge and experience in lifetime, variable, and defined benefit pensions; customer service and the ability to communicate complex information in a straightforward manner.
A minimum degree in business administration, commerce, or finance, and five or more years experience with financial transactions or pension or benefits administration is required. Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office, pension databases and workflow systems, and the ability to generate and analyze reports is critical.
A Pension Plan Administration Certificate is an asset but can be completed within of 18 months from date of hire.
