Are you passionate about doing meaningful work? Do you care about water as one of our most important resources? The Water Security Agency is seeking a Technologist, Hydrogeological Services to join the Groundwater Services team.
Reporting to the Manager, Groundwater Services, an employee in this job will undertake duties associated with the WSA groundwater monitoring program specific to the collection, processing, documentation, and maintenance of the groundwater level observation well network.
In addition, the employee will process and catalogue the geophysical log, groundwater quality, maintain the database, provide geologic and hydrogeologic interpretations, water well and water supply science to the public and other parties.
This employee will also provide technical advice to clients, including outside agencies and within WSA and will participate in other hydrogeologic studies and related activities required for the management and protection of the provinces groundwater resources.
The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Civil Engineering with a specialty in Water Resources or a similar discipline program and background knowledge of basic hydrogeological principles and be eligible for certification with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) as a Professional Technologist (PTech or P.Tech).
