Description

SaskBuilds and Procurement: where infrastructure, procurement, real property, facility management, logistics and information technology meet to enable the Government of Saskatchewans Growth Plan and programs and services for citizens and communities.

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement has an opportunity for a permanent full-time Facility Service Worker position located in Saskatoon. The salary for this position will be updated to $22.295  $27.939 once Class Plan Renewal process is completed and HR system has been updated.

Under the direction of the Building Operator, you will be responsible for:

- Providing day to day building maintenance and grounds-keeping;
- Assisting co-workers with various maintenance repairs;
- Ensuring visual life safety equipment is in good operating readiness;
- Performing assigned client requests; and
- Maintaining maintenance records in the maintenance management software.

The successful candidate will be required to operate grounds equipment (manual and powered) and must be able to climb ladders and lift heavy objects.

To be considered successful for this position, candidates require:

- Working level knowledge of building maintenance and operations;
- Being in good physical condition to perform manual activities (ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders);
- The possession of a valid driver's license; and
- A valid Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate, or the ability to obtain the certificate within the probationary period (twelve (12) months).
