Scope
The Rural Municipalities of Baildon No. 131 and Moose Jaw No. 161 are seeking proposals from independent contractors for the appointment of Pest Control Officer, pursuant to The Pest Control Act.

Applicants shall hold a valid Structural Applicator License (Pesticide License), possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License, supply their own vehicle and have adequate liability coverage.

General Duties and responsibilities
1.    Providing written reports by email and/or in person as required by Council, including the completion of any provincial grant applications, and to provide updates on the progress of any site infestations.

2.    Checking each vacant and occupied farm-site minimum once a year, or as often as determined by the PCO in the case of an active rat infestation including the baiting of properties.

3.     Neutralize pests through control measures such as pesticide application, baiting and trapping. Pest control products will be supplied by each Municipality separately.
4.    Providing education and/or assistance to residents regarding pest control and baiting.
5.    Keeping and providing a tally of baits and/or bait stations dispensed for each Municipality separately.

6.    Keeping and providing a log with respect to hours, mileage, locations inspected, and other expenses associated with duties performed for each Municipality separately.

Please submit your hourly rates and travel rates on a per km basis in addition to qualifications, certifications, liability coverage and references by mail/email or in person no later than 12:00 p.m. Friday February 7th, 2025.
