Description

Work should be so much more than just a job you do to earn a paycheque. And at SGI, it is.

We offer the essentials - a competitive salary, great pension, and excellent employer-paid family benefits. But we also provide opportunities. The opportunity to do work that makes a difference in your community. The opportunity to expand your professional skills and grow your career. And the opportunity to come to work every day to a job you're passionate about and that leaves you feeling happy and fulfilled.

We're looking for a Learning Specialist to join our team who is passionate about driving excellence in corporate technical training for both employees and external partners. This role is eligible for hybrid, onsite or remote work in the provinces where we operate, which includes Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and British Columbia.

We hope you consider applying if you:
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to the adoption and growth of an established corporate training framework
- Are agile, have project management experience and enjoy fast-paced, work environments
- The ability to handle ambiguity while employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to advise on optimal learning practices and recommend the most effective approaches.
- Capability to create proposals and present recommendations to secure cooperation and approval for proposed actions, programs, and procedures.

Typically, these skills are gained through a four-year degree in a related field of study such as Business; a certificate or diploma in adult education and six years' directly related experience in adult education or human resources. A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation would be considered an asset.  We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way, so please don't hesitate to apply. We'd love to hear from you!
