This position involves planning, delivering, and evaluating diverse and inclusive sport, culture, and recreation activities within the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department. Responsibilities include preparing facilities, setting up and taking down equipment, and supervising scheduled bookings, programs, and special events across various branches: Community & Cultural Development, Community & Recreation Programs, Sports Facilities & Special Events, and Planning & Partnerships.
Candidates must have current First Aid and CPR certification, strong organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive role model for children and youth, candidates should be dependable, proactive, and possess good judgment. Preference will be given to those with post-secondary education in Kinesiology, Education, or related fields.
The role may require working non-standard hours, including weekends. Pay rates range from $15.93 to $22.84 per hour, depending on the position and operational needs. Successful candidates may need a criminal record check and proof of education.
