Description

The Cupar & District Nursing Home Inc., an affiliate of the SHA, is seeking a TEMPORARY FULL TIME OUT OF SCOPE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT/CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY within the 45 bed level 3 and 4 long term care facility, located only 45 miles northeast of Regina.  
Reporting to the Board of Directors for CDNH the incumbent is accountable for contributing to the efficient operation and administration of the facility and to act as the Confidential Secretary to the Board of Directors. This is achieved through coordinating and managing adminstrative functions of the Board and the office, carrying out administrative and reporting duties of a confidential nature and assigned clerical/administrative functions for the Executive Director, Board and other departments as necessary.

Job Duties:
The incumbent completes or is involved in, but is not limited to:
-    Attending Board, Executive Finance and other committees to take minutes, providing information to Board requests and performing other secretarial functions for the Board as assigned.
-    Staff scheduling and replacement (replacing at overtime as needed, assisting in determining the most effective use of staff and their schedule, seniority list maintenance, master rotations, etc.)
-    Receptionist and resident care administrative duties (resident admission/discharge, monthly reports, monthly rents, etc.)
-    Personnel file (access/updating), job posting (setup/tracking) and posting appointments, payroll input/output (problem solving) and benefit administration; accounting input/output, payables/receivables, bank deposits/receipts, reconciliation of accounts, petty cash and donations entries and summary reporting.
-    Reporting to the Board (and Executive Director) as requested on internal labor relations, financial and other issues, typing/discussion involving Union contracts and collective bargaining, funding/budget and staff allocation discussion/decisions.
