Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for the position of a full-time regular Parts Technician to work at the Prairie Spirit Bus Garage. The successful candidate will be required to work 1.0 FTE or 40 hrs/week. The Bus Garage is located in Saskatoon, SK.The starting salary for this CUPE position is $22.32 per hour or $24.07 depending on education. This position starts January 27, 2025.

The Parts Technician is a member of the Transportation Team and assists the Fleet Supervisor with repair shop operations including parts management and fleet vehicle repair and maintenance workflow in accordance with the high standards set by the industry and the school division.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a Parts Management Technician Certificate from a certified post-secondary institution;

Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products;

Be able to multitask and prioritize;

Have excellent written and oral communication skills;


In addition, preference will be given to those candidates who:

Have at least two years experience in inventory management;

Be familiar with automated inventory control systems;

Have at least four years of experience in the administrative field;

Duties for this position include:

In consultation with the Fleet Supervisor: responsible for all aspects of inventory management of all parts required by the Bus Garage;

Regular audits of inventory and discrepancy management;

Operational support to Fleet Supervisor.
