Description

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
A)    Develop and Review Guidelines for the Authority that do not conflict with the operating agreement as set down by Section.95 of the NHA
B)    Maintenance, collection and enforcement of all rental contracts/agreements for both CMHC and Band Housing, which includes the Move in, and move out inspections.
C)    Continuous data entry for each unit/family dwelling on the First Nation in order to maintain the Data Base System Requirements.
D)    Administer the process, procedure and construction of the new housing projects from start to final inspection while maintaining the requirements of the existing housing.
E)    Administer the daily operations of all aspects of the housing department from ordering material to delegating the required renovations and/or construction.
F)    Prepare/Present Annual Budget  
G)    Assist Band Members with alternative (new) housing options.
H)    Develop and establish training programs pertinent to the housing and renovations program.

Qualifications:
    Must have knowledge of confidentiality guidelines and privacy limitations
    Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, keyboard skills, general office procedures.
    Post-secondary training or relevant work experience.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Must have knowledge in Construction and Project Management
    Must possess effective supervisory skills.
    Must possess knowledge of how to develop and work with a database system.
    Must have the ability to effectively work with the public, Chief and Council, fellow employees and the general membership.
    Knowledge of First Nation Culture; Tradition and Language is a definite asset.
