THE OPPORTUNITY
Seeking a skilled and driven Precision Agronomy Lead to join our independent ag retail team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in agronomy and precision agriculture technologies who is passionate about supporting customers and working closely with the sales team to deliver cutting-edge agronomic solutions. Through leadership of and partnership with our sales team, the Precision Agronomy Lead will focus on the implementation of precision agronomy practices, data analysis, and technology adoption to help our customers optimize their crop production, improve input efficiency, and enhance sustainability.
This is a full-time, remote based position in Saskatchewan.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Agronomy, Precision Agriculture, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in agronomy or precision agriculture, with a solid understanding of crop production, soil science, and related technologies.
Proficiency in precision agriculture tools, such as yield mapping, soil sensors, drones, and variable rate technologies. Strong data analysis skills, with experience using precision ag software platforms
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex agronomic concepts into practical solutions for customers.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technology and agronomy-related issues in the field.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a sales team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel locally
Familiarity with farm management software and agronomy data platforms.
