This EA position is responsible in supporting students with learning and behavior differences, under the direction of a teacher. The EA will collaborate with teaching staff to deliver a comfortable learning environment where optimizing the individual students learning potential, abilities and exceptionalities within a variety of educational programs.
Qualifications:
ECE certificate level 1, 2 or 3 would be an asset or previous Educational Assistant experience
General knowledge of First Nation Cree culture and values
Must lead a healthy lifestyle
Must be a positive Role Model
Must be a team player that maintains student confidentiality
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strategies for working with students who have a wide range of physical, cognitive, social and emotional differences.
Professional and ethical classroom practices along with classroom behavior support
Must have knowledge of Child and adolescent development
Must have experience working with pre-kindergarten and school age children
