Duties include:
- Produces a monthly schedule of activities for the MHDIC; including community based activities, volunteer placements, life skills, social and recreational opportunities
- Produce a monthly schedule for The After Hours Group (TAG) and organizes each event
- Provide 1:1 support for youth as it relates to their mental health goals with the purpose of providing caregiver relief
- Provide group programming for youth as appropriate that focuses on social and leisure opportunities
- Work collaboratively with Mental Health Senior Supervisor to connect youth with appropriate community resources
- Supports clients to address problems/issues and find solutions and set their own goals
- Builds, maintains, and coordinates with community services and agencies for in-house programming
- In consultation with Mental Health Senior Supervisor, purchases supplies and materials for office, kitchen programming etc.
- Responsible for developing educational material for all clients, that target identified goals and trending topics
- Promote and facilitate educational group sessions for caregivers and youth/young adults
- Responsible for recruiting participants from internal and external programs/agencies
- Complete administrative duties and required documentation
- Required to collect and maintain statistics to retain/secure funding; responsible for meeting key outcomes and objectives

Qualifications:
Education:
- Diploma/certificate in the Human Services field
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and access to a working/reliable vehicle
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or willingness to obtain within three months
Experience:
- 5 years relevant experience in the disability sector
