SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Operations Support Specialist is a position that is supervised by the Director of Operations on a day-to-day basis, with overall accountability to The Chief and Council. This is an executive-level and highly confidential administrative support position. The Operations Support Specialist shall assist in the day-to-day operations, overseeing projects, manage productivity and increasing efficiency for the Director of Operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
1. Possess a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent, a certificate in Business Administration or Office Education would be an asset.
2. Work experience in a related field of two (2) years would be a definite asset.
3. Have experience and knowledge with computers and software programs.
4. Must have strong organizational skills and work independently with minimum supervision.
5. Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
6. Candidates must have experience and knowledge of how a First Nation Government operates and conducts business.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
