Description

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Business Manager has primary responsibility for the administrative, financial and personnel activities of Palliser Regional Library. They are also responsible for Headquarters facility management, and directly supervise caretaking, shipping, and administrative staff.

The Business Manager works closely with the Executive Director, provides support to other senior staff, and serves as a member of the Management Team. The Business Manager also provides support to the Palliser Regional Library Board and Executive Committee.

Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, however relevant work experience may be considered equivalent.
Minimum 3 - 5 years related experience; some previous experience in accounting required.
Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check
Knowledge & Abilities
Knowledge of accounting principles (with experience in Public Sector Accounting Board an asset)
Familiarity with Payworks and QuickBooks software an asset
Familiarity with Saskatchewan Employment Act
Familiarity with unionized settings and working within the boundaries of a Collective Agreement.
Advanced computer proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
Human Resources and/or management experience an asset
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Superior oral & written communication skills
Ability to sustain cooperative, productive relationships with staff (and board)
Proactive, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Very strong attention to detail and accuracy
Superior time management skills and ability to set priorities
