Description

Saskatoon Tribal Council is seeking a highly motivated dedicated individual to fulfil the role of Community Health Nurse for Yellow Quill First Nation (YQFN).  The Community Health Nurse will report directly to the Yellow Quill Health Director and will receive clinical supervision and 2nd level Registered Nurse Management support from the Saskatoon Tribal Council. The nurse will be expected to work on site at Yellow Quill First Nation Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The Community Health Nurse will provide community based, culturally relevant community health programming and services as well as support initiatives and strategies that aim to improve health outcomes of community members. The position will work a member of the health team in the delivery of services in community.

The Community Health Nurses are responsible for promoting and protecting health of the community by using knowledge from nursing, social, and public health services. They achieve this by direct patient care as well as by implementing educational programs, recommending policies, administering services, along with conducting research.
