Under the direction of the Muskoday Daycare Coordinator, the casual childcare worker will be responsible for promoting and creating a happy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children attending the center. Child-care Workers will create age-appropriate programs that will encourage and support the well-being of children by working with the children and their families.
Duties:
Assist with the development of an annual program for children 6 months to 5 years of age;
Plan, organize, lead and follow through with daily programs within the Daycare programs;
Work as a team member to create a comfortable and happy environment;
Direct and assist children with their everyday needs;
Maintain constant supervision of indoor and outdoor activities;
Work with parents in providing daily updates of their child(ren)?s progress.
Qualifications:
Certificate in Early Childhood Development preferred and/or currently enrolled in an ECE program or willing to take the training;
Ability to work with and build strong, positive relationships with parents, children, staff, and the community;
Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
Knowledge of First Nations culture;
First Aid/CPR Level 3 or willing to complete training;
A current CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check upon hire;
