PRIMARY ROLE:
Apply chemicals as a licensed applicator, with all required protective equipment. Position is to start in Spring 2025. Specific date will depend on weather.
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
-Outdoor Field & City Position. Must be able to withstand summer conditions for long periods of time. Walking long distances in a requirement
-Class 5 Drivers License is a Requirement - No exceptions
-Attention to safety rules and regulations is a MUST
-Required to work independently as well as part of a team.
-Mix pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides for application to trees, shrubs, lawns and open fields/compounds
-Fill sprayer tanks, and mix chemicals according to formula
-Identify lawn or plant diseases to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
-Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions. Attention to detail is an asset
When weather is not permitting to work as an Applicator, the following job requirements may apply:
-Perform landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning
-Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, and tillers
-Performs landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, lawn seeding
-Potential to assists with equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader
Experienced and/or licensed applicants will be given priority. We are willing to provide the Pesticide Applicator Course through Great Plains Collage for the right candidate.
Wage- $20-$25 an hour depending on experience. Competitive Wages
