Job Overview
The Manager, Personal Insurance oversees the Personal Insurance team, ensuring effective execution of service strategies, team development, and growth of an assigned book of business. This role involves leadership, mentorship, and expertise in personal insurance and SGI Auto Fund to drive team and client success.
Responsibilities
Lead by example, uphold company values, and build strong business relationships.
Manage and grow a personal book of business through referrals, walk-ins, and personal networks.
Provide mentorship, training, and technical support to team members, fostering their development.
Ensure accuracy in policy documentation and manage all aspects of account relationships, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
Regularly review accounts, recommend coverage adjustments, and handle complex account relationships.
Maintain accurate client records in the EPIC system and ensure compliance with workflows.
Audit files to prevent E&O exposure and proactively address issues.
Organize team training, onboarding, and workflow sessions.
Support revenue growth through cross-selling opportunities and collaboration with Venture and Commercial teams.
Stay informed on industry trends and attend mandatory seminars to ensure product knowledge.
Provide backup for the Auto Insurance Team as needed.
Qualifications
Expertise in SGI Auto Fund and Personal Insurance.
Level 2 General Insurance License (or willingness to obtain).
Proven customer service, leadership, and mentorship skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Broker Management Systems (EPIC) preferred.
