Shkopich is now operating as PROTEX ENVIRONMENTAL and services commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations in solid waste disposal and recycling, industrial cleaning, vacuum truck services, used oil materials recovery and recycling, and other specialized services.

Position & Scope

The Parts Person will report to the Fleet Manager and be responsible for day to day activities revolving around the internal maintenance department. You will serve as the liaison between the fleet maintenance department and the various service lines within the company as well as our vendors and external service providers.

Key Accountabilities

Follow schedules and internal service orders in accordance with the Fleet Managers instructions

Complete cycle / inventory counts and keep parts room stocked with required parts and supplies

Receive special order part information from Manager and place orders with vendors

Identify and return unused or core-return inventory for refund

Manage min and max inventory levels and manage shop supplies

Safely operate all company equipment & ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of shop and service vehicles

Assist in the facility with care and maintenance of revolving equipment and supplies for service divisions

Participate in the Protex safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments as required

Requirements

Class 5 Drivers License (Class 1 preferred)
Clean drivers abstract is required
Able to work independently and as part of the team
Lifting of heavy items will be required
Customer service experience is an asset
Experience working in a safety sensitive environment
