HQC is looking for a proactive, committed, and collaborative person to join the Health Quality Council as a First Nations, Mtis or Inuit Engagement Lead. This position will work in service of the province and its citizens to meet the challenges of improving health and health care.

What you will do

Relationship Building

    Build and maintain strong relationships with First Nations and Mtis leadership, officials, and community members to support HQCs goals and strategic direction.
    Act as a primary interface for the navigation of relationships and partnerships between stakeholders and HQC to ensure alignment with HQC goals.

Engagement Strategy

    Develop a comprehensive Indigenous Engagement strategy aligned with the organizations values, goals, and commitments. This includes identifying opportunities for collaboration, addressing challenges, and ensuring the integration of indigenous perspectives into the decision-making process.
    Work with HQCs strategic stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities with Indigenous communities and organizations to support HQCs goals related to First Nations and Mtis Health.

Internal Collaboration

    Ensure the provision of sound advice and assistance to all levels of management and staff in the organization specific to First Nation and Mtis health and health care programs and services.
    Serve as a key advisor on other HQC initiatives, working directly with the pertinent teams or staff on projects.
