Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) is a community-based organization that is funded by the federal government through Canadas Homelessness Strategy to provide financial resources to homelessness projects in Saskatoon to mitigate and reduce the number of people and families homeless or at risk of homelessness in Saskatoon.
SHIP is the Community Entity for Reaching Home: Canadas Homelessness Strategy with both the Designated Communities and Indigenous Homelessness funding streams..
The Reaching Home Sub Project Coordinator is responsible to provide administrative support in the delivery of the Reaching Home Program
The successful candidate will develop contribution agreements, negotiate project funding, provide financial and activity reports, track and submit financial claims, financial and activity reports as required. The individual will work with agencies to ensure compliance with the Reaching Home Program and other duties as required.
SHIP requires the successful candidate to have effective communication and writing skills, and competency in Microsoft Office Suite of software programs, as well as electronic communications. The successful candidate will work in compliance with SHIP workplace policies, procedures,
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
It is required that the successful candidate have sufficient educational qualifications with a minimum of certification, and/or diploma in business administration and/or related field.
It is beneficial for the candidate to have experience in working with community-based organization that deliver human service programs.
It is an asset but not a requirement, to have previous experience in project management, project analysis, administration, and/or proposal development. The Sub Project Coordinator position requires an ability to communicate complex issues both in written and verbal formats.
