We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Educational Assistant to join our team and provide one-on-one support to a child with diverse needs. You will collaborate with the Inclusion Coordinator, parents, and supporting professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
This is a term contract position for 6 hours daily (Monday to Friday) and 8 hours on no-school days until June 30, 2024, with the option for renewal.
Qualifications:
-Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or willingness to take courses toward ECE Level I).
Preference for candidates with an EA certificate, ECE certificate, or diploma.
-Valid and Current First Aid & CPR certifications.
-Current and clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within the last 3 months).
-Experience working with children with diverse needs (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities:
-Provide one-on-one support to a child with diverse needs.
Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and professionals to ensure the childs needs are met.
-Maintain accurate records of the childs progress.
-Attend professional appointments (e.g., Speech-Language Pathologists, Behavior Consultants).
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Skills & Competencies:
-A passion for working with young children.
-Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
-Regular hours: 11:30 am - 5:30 pm.
-Occasional shifts: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm on no-school days/holidays.
-Hours may vary depending on the childs schedule.
-Wage: $15.00 - $28.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
