DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report to the Food Store Manager providing leadership and guidance in the Meat Department.
Maintain staff levels by recruiting, selecting, orientating, developing personal growth opportunities and training employees
Achieve results by communicating job expectations via planning, monitoring, and appraising performance through talent management, including coaching and disciplining employees
Ensure all staff adhere to Co-op standards regarding merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, health & safety and loss prevention.
Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; prepare annual budgets; control expenditures; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes a strong culture of engagement within the department
Achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery and identify areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You have a Grade 12 Diploma
You have 3 5 years experience
in a supervisory role and leading others, previous retail supervisory experience is considered an asset
Youre honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
Physically capable of performing dynamic and static movements, repetitive motions, and repeated lifting of up to 50lbs unassisted
Meat cutting experience considered an asset
