Description

The Northeast Regional Housing Authority (NERHA) is currently recruiting a full-time Tenant Relations Officer (TRO) to join our team in Creighton.  NERHA is located in the community of Creighton, and also serves the surrounding communities of Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, and Sandy Bay.  If you have excellent problem solving and organizational skills, can multitask, thrive in a team environment, and have a desire to provide exceptional service to tenants in the community, this position will be of interest to you!

Responsibilities:
-Process housing applications, conduct income reviews, calculate rental fees, and collect rent
-Prepare and explain leasing agreements and expectations of tenancy
-Investigate potential lease violations; assist and perform procedures for tenant hearings in conjunction with the Office of the Residential Tenancies
-Coordinate move-in and move-out process
-Manage tenant and public inquiries, problems, complaints, and concerns
-Prepare and monitor banking statements, review financial reports and investigate discrepancies

Requirements:
-Ability to manage stressful situations, problem solve, and manage conflict
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
-Superior administrative and accounting skills
-Exceptional client relations skills and the ability to maintain positive work relationships

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 or equivalent, with experience in a property management environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience  
-Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
-Proven expertise using Microsoft Office
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
