Phys Ed Teacher-All Grades

Chief Little Pine School is accepting applications for a Phys Ed Teacher, to commence January 6, 2025 for the Academic Year.  

Chief Little Pine School is located on Little Pine First Nation, approximately 79 km west of North Battleford, SK. Chief Little Pine is a Pre-K to Grade 12 school.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Nurture, support and guide young learners
Prepare engaging lessons and interactive learning activities/materials
Conduct formal and informal assessment of students
Facilitate learning activities both within the classroom setting and outdoors
Participate in co-curricular school activities
Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour, respect and safety within the classroom
Support families with open, ongoing communication
Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives that follow SK curriculum standards

Position Qualifications:
Possess or be in application of a valid SK Teaching Certificate
Possess a Bachelors degree or higher qualification in education
Understands and uses current practices and teaching strategies
Models a strong work ethic as well as high standards of commitment
Must have an awareness and appreciation of Native culture
Fosters school mission, values and sense of community through student-centered decisions
Effectively communicates with staff, parents and students
Maintains professionalism through all school interactions and activities
Values continual growth and development of school programs and curriculum
