Steffans Accounting Services is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join our team. We specialize in providing bookkeeping, payroll, and personalized and corporate tax services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience, and has the ability to work independently.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), but we are also considering part-time applicants
Main Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including posting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts (e.g., bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable).
Prepare and process payroll for various clients on monthly, semi-monthly, or bi-weekly schedules.
Identify discrepancies, investigate errors, and report findings to the supervisor.
Position Requirements:
Certificate or diploma in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage 50).
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Chinese language is an asset.
Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
