The Opportunity: We are seeking the services of a qualified and highly motivated Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to serve as the main contact between the RM Council and the municipal staff. The CAO is the administrative head of the municipality and reports to Council. The CAO has two key roles - to advise and inform Council on the operations of the municipality and to implement the RMs policies and programs. The CAO is depended upon and trusted by council to provide sound, unbiased, strategic advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of Council policies and decisions.
Manage municipal operations and ensure efficient delivery of services.
Financial management, including budgeting, payroll, utility billing, and tax roll.
Supervise staff, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions when required.
Ensure effective communication within the organization and with the public.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
Rural Class C Certificate. Those without certifications, but are willing to obtain, may be considered.
3-5 years experience in a municipal government setting.
Proficiency with MuniSoft software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
