Job Title: Indian Cook (Tandoor and Curry Specialist)

Location: Saskatoon SK

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Cook with expertise in the Tandoor and Curry sections to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors, and will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, with a focus on Tandoor and Curry specialties.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency.
Manage the Tandoor oven, including marinating meats, baking breads, and grilling vegetables.
Create and execute a variety of curry dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and recipes.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Indian Cook, with a strong focus on Tandoor and Curry sections.
In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian cooking methods, spices, and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus.
