Description

The Pest Control Technician provides pest inspection and remediation services for a variety of pests at Regina Housing Properties

What youll do:
Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation
Determine type of treatment required and provide recommendations on the course of action
Advise clients on how to prepare for treatment and to prevent future infestations; assist with unit preparations as necessary
Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas to kill insects, rodents, and other pests
Place and set traps to capture and remove animals
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines, best practices, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Provide assistance with and recommendations for the procurement of goods required for pest control throughout the portfolio ensuring purchase are both cost effective and of good quality.  

What youll need:
A valid Saskatchewan Pesticide Applicator License
1-2 years experience in pest control or a related field
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of stakeholders
Commitment to confidentiality and a respect for diversity and individual differences
Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and critical thinking skills
Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team setting
Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, problem solve, and work efficiently under tight timelines
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
Reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes
