Primary Responsibilities:
Deter all criminal activity, looking for suspicious behaviours and unattended items using CCTV.
Carefully examine and interpret significant data to form logical and valuable conclusions
-Writing detailed, accurate reports (written or electronic) as required for suspicious behaviours and security incidents.
-Requesting assistance of police and other federal law enforcement as required.
Investigating incidents and collective accurate and detailed information
Operate and effectively monitor CCTV and alarm monitoring systems
-Dispatching of Security personnel for all alarms, complex access, suspicious activities, security incidents, tasks, etc.
Prioritizing calls for service by obtaining accurate & relevant information through questioning
Coordination of Emergency Response
-Determining operational needs for responding Security personnel and providing appropriate direction/information for call response
Consistent exposure to work environment that has continuous distractions and a high level of activity and noise
Ensuring compliance with site policies and procedures
-Effectively determine occurrences/activities out of the norm; continue high-level monitoring to determine of field response is required
-Exposure to high stress and prolonged sitting, talking, keyboarding, radio transmissions and telephone calls
-responding according to policy and appropriately dealing with suspicious activities and behaviours, unattended items, and vehicles.
Knowledge of Municipal Law, Provincial/Territorial Law, and Federal Law
-Utilizing quick decision-making skills and sound judgment, acting in accordance with site security policy and procedures, as well as federal, provincial, and municipal law.
-Engaging in professional radio operations procedures, keeping security agents and supervisors informed of all pertinent incidents and activities according to department policy.
