Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Technician to join Silver Star Ag Ltd. Youll play a key role in the installation and servicing of grain monitoring systems and precision farming systems for agricultural equipment. This hands-on position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for ongoing learning to develop your skills.

Responsibilities:

Installation: Install grain monitoring systems on grain bins, some up to 60 feet high. Install precision farming systems (GPS autosteer, cameras, grade control) on agricultural equipment.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during and after installation.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of installations, including specifications, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaboration: Work closely with team members and grain producers to ensure smooth integration of systems.
Training: Provide training to end-users on the proper use and maintenance of systems.
Trade Shows: Attend trade shows, promoting our products and services to new and existing customers.
Requirements:

Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Physical Fitness: Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Flexibility: Willing to travel for installations.
Reliability: Commitment to punctuality, deadlines, and dependability.
Outdoor Enthusiast: Comfortable working independently or in small teams outdoors.
Qualifications:

High School diploma
Experience in agriculture or precision farming is highly desirable.
Class 1A drivers license is an asset.
