Description

This is an in-person position, only candidates who are currently located in Saskatoon or nearby areas and are legally eligible to work in Canada will be considered.

Responsibilities:
Lead and Direct Design Projects:
- Direct the design team, providing guidance and oversight on all UX/UI projects.
- Ensure design deliverables align with project goals and client expectations.
User-Centered Design:
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Develop user personas and customer journey maps to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to illustrate design concepts.
Design and Development:
- Develop and maintain information architecture, ensuring content is organized and accessible.
- Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement and refine designs.
Usability and Accessibility:
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with other teams to integrate accessibility and branding guidelines into production.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Advocate for best practices in UX/UI design within the organization.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Website Development or Computer Science
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role
- Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in user research, interaction design, and visual design
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
