Qualifications:
-Saskatchewan Professional A Teachers Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
-Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum, environment and assessment
-Knowledge of First Nations, Mtis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
-Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently
The Preferred Candidate will have:
-Familiarity and experience with Northern issues
-Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
-Minimum of five years of successful administrative
-Experience at the elementary, middle, and secondary years level
-Graduate academic training in school administration
-Strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
-Strong commitment to the schools plus/community schools and safe schools concept
