Under the supervision of the Director of Protection Services, The Resource Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of Foster Care, Permanency Planning, Long Term Planning, and Custom Adoption Programs, Family Finders and services in order to ensure compliance to legislation, policies, standards, quality assurance, and the needs of clients are met in a responsible and efficient manner. Collaborate with the Protection and Prevention Programs on the best interests of the families and children.
- Knowledge of guardianship, foster care, legal agreements, best practices in permanency planning, long term planning, custom adoption, etc.
- Ability to work with and support the Child and Family Services Authorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child and Family Services Act, the Provincial Child and Family Services Act, funding agreements, and all related legislation, policies, procedures and regulations.
- General knowledge of the Cree, Nakoda and Saulteaux cultures
- General knowledge of the political and social objectives of the YTL-YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.
- Advanced knowledge of the YTL-YTCCFS Inc policies, procedures, and strategic plan.
- Possess a valid drivers license and possess a reliable vehicle.
- Liaison with the Director of Protection Services
- Resource supervisor program development and delivery
- Program administration, collection of statistics, case reviews, quarterly and annual reports
- Evaluation of program and services, file reviews, work plan development and training
- Monitor, maintain, implement and review all Policies and Procedures that pertain to the Resource Unit.
