Shift Information: Days, Weekends

Hours of Work: 40 hours per 6 weeks; 5 shifts of 8 hours
Scheduled hours of work may be reduced (if applicable) during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.

Salary or Pay Band:  Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440

Travel Required: No

Job Description: Integrates skills and knowledge from nursing theory and principles of adult learning in providing direct inpatient and outpatient care, clinical coordination, clinical problem solving, education and research for a defined group of patients and/or programs. Provides leadership that is visible, proactive and promotes the delivery of patient care through the application of practice standards. In consultation, develops, implements and evaluates educational activities for clients, families and health professionals in the area of human lactation.

- Experience related to the clinical area of breast feeding difficulties
- Experience related to the clinical area of maternal-child
- Experience in program/resource development
- Experience in adult education
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Certificate (IBCLC)
