To provide community and in home support services to families with children, and to provide assistance to families that will build on these strengths.
Family/Community support will include but is not limited to community visits with families to help with day to day routine building and parenting, life skills, ensuring basic needs are met, help with domestic duties and transportation. This position will also provide in house support as well as other tasks.
Full time positions are Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)
Requirements:
-Skills in problem solving, managing multiple demands, and responding appropriately to incidents as they arise;
-Current First Aid and CPR certificates including Narcan/Naloxone training;
-Knowledge and experience working with families who have experienced trauma, addictions and emotional and mental health challenges;
-Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture, tradition and historical trauma;
-Effective oral and written communication skills;
-Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
-Driver's license and appropriate vehicle coverage as requested;
-Obtain a criminal record check as well as a vulnerable persons check;
-Administration knowledge and experience.
