Description

Guards will provide security services to Prince Albert Police Service.  Duties include: watching prisoners, creating detailed log notes on Prisoner behaviour and actions, logging Prisoner possessions, providing meals and blankets when authorized, and other duties as assigned by the Client.  Since security is a 24/7 365 business, applicants should be willing to accept shifts at any time. Must be able to so shift work.

ONLY THOSE WHO CURRENTLY POSSESS A VALID SASK. SECURITY GUARD LICENSE OR HAVE PASSED THE 40 HOUR PROVINCIAL SECURITY GUARD COURSE WILL BE CONSIDERED.  MUST BE ABLE TO PASS THE POLICE SCREENING PROCESS (must be a Permanent Resident).

A valid Saskatchewan Class 5 license is required.  A personal vehicle for transportation is required.

Applicants must be fluent in English and may be required to show proficiency through an English language assessment.  Computer skills are also an asset.  

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and in good physical condition, should be able to stand for extended periods of time, and display good decision making, problem solving and communication skills.  

All applicants must have a clear criminal records check and a valid Saskatchewan Drivers license.
