Description

The Manager of Ambulance Services will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of PBCN emergency medical services, ensuring that the team delivers optimal patient care in a timely and efficient manner. The role of the Manager of Ambulance Services is to oversee complete management of the service and to work as an active member of the ambulance team.  
General Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction, and management of all ambulance staff while promoting a safe work environment;
Oversee and manage the effective and efficient day-to-day operations by providing guidance and direction to staff;
Provide orientation, mentoring, training and on-going support to staff in order to maximize potential;
Develop and manage the ambulance budget;
Manage and allocate resources, including ambulance fleet and supplies;
Prepare and submit proposals and budgets to access funding under the related areas;
Respond to calls in a timely matter and ensure consistency of responses amongst staff;
Maintain good work ethics and create a respectful, positive work environment;
Assist staff with maintaining effective communication;
Ensure proper communication to all stakeholders of any service disruptions (time-outs);
Ensure vehicles and equipment are in good working order;
May be required to be available for after hours telephone emergency clinical consultation and support.
Qualifications
Possess a valid, unrestricted Advanced Care Paramedic license through the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) and be in good standing;
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic, including a minimum of two years of supervisory experience;
- May be required to be available for after hours telephone emergency clinical consultation and support.
