Description

Explore this term opportunity to learn and expand your career within the food safety/agricultural processing industry!  In this role you will learn and hone your skills as a vital member of an expanding grain processing organization located in Regina, Sask!

Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain food safety documentation and update the food safety plan on a continuous basis, ensuring close attention to detail and accuracy at all times.  
- Maintain a high level of SQF, Organic, Gluten Free and Non-GMO certification of the facility.  Train staff members in site specific food safety measures.
- Work with government and customer inspectors to ensure the food safety program meets government and customer standards, i.e. FDA, CFIA, CGC, Health Region and customer inspectors.
- Communicate with and provide customer service to meet customers specific needs.  Respond to customer enquiries and assist them in understanding product quality and processing standards.        
- Work collaboratively with members of the team.  Assist the sales team and provide support in the areas of documentation and communicating food safety systems with current and potential customers.  

The position term may range from a few months to potentially longer.

As the selected candidate you will bring:
- Industry specific experience is preferred.   Formal training in food safety is an asset but not required.  
- Relevant HACCP work experience and familiarity with HACCP based programs.
- Experience in a food processing facility or agricultural industry is a definite asset.
- You will enjoy a challenge and have a keen desire for skill development and career growth.  Detail oriented and adherence to processes in documenting work accurately. Strong communication and leadership qualities.
