POSITION: Facilities Coordinator
TYPE: Permanent, Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day
LOCATION: Central Services Office - North Battleford, SK (Some travel to schools)

Position Overview:
Living Sky School Division is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our leadership team. This critical role ensures the maintenance and safe operation of our school facilities, while providing training and support to caretakers to elevate their technical skills. The Facilities Coordinator uses their expertise to ensure our schools are well-maintained, energy-efficient, and safe for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Accountabilities of the Facilities Coordinator:
1. Preventative Maintenance Planning
Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure school buildings remain in optimal condition.
2. Caretaker Support and Training
Provide technical training and guidance to caretakers.
Support caretakers in areas such as chemicals, equipment, and advanced skills.
Assist with hiring, orientation and ongoing professional development for caretakers.
3. Ensuring Safety and Compliance
Monitor Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) compliance across schools.
Advise caretakers on identifying and addressing unsafe work environments.
4. Collaboration and Project Management
Oversee contractor-led projects, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.
Coordinate with caretakers, tradespeople, and school administrators to complete projects efficiently.
Collaborate with facility renters (ie. daycares) to maintain strong relationships.
Support principals in evaluating and appraising caretaker performance.
